May 2016

The sun falls everywhere over me.

My life is beginning

down under my feet.

It grows, tangled, into my legs.

Below me on the hill, a single leaf floats down,

catches sunlight.

I know you.

You know me.

We acknowledge each other

and pass on.

Into silence.

Into the immeasurable loud

of this deep humus.
